Visiting Student Dies from Acute Altitude Sickness on Conundrum Creek Trail

News Link
This may be a first in Colorado. There are certainly many visitors that get altitude sickness, but I am unaware of any deaths previously. Altitude sickness usually is the result of not allowing sufficient time to adjust to altitude change, particularly if it is the first time a visitor has been above 5,000 feet.
