If The North Flank of Kilauea Collapsed in One Massive Block, A 1,000 Foot High Tsunami Would Hit Lanai and Maui

Video

A well done video that visualizes the mechanism. The chances of a massive, intact block moving at 200 mph are near zero however. Research of a similar situation in the Canary Islands off the coast of Spain has demonstrated that past debris fields on the ocean floor are a series of smaller landslides that accumulated over a long period of time.
