CDOT Rockfall Hazard Map
Spring time freeze-thaw ice jacking makes this and fall the time most rockslides happen in Colorado. Here is a copy of the map from this article - I could not find the original on CDOT's web site, so I apologize for the fuzzy image, but the roads highlighted are well known - the I-70 corridor, all the major stream canyons along the Front Range, Silverton to Durango, Telluride, and some lesser known areas in western and southern Colorado. CDOT spends about $4 million per year scaling rocks down and placing barriers and screens on rock faces to prevent rockslide accidents.
